The NBA and G League have confirmed that five prospects have been selected for promotion from the G League Elite Camp to the upcoming NBA Draft Combine. The group includes Rafael Castro, Jacob Cofie, Bryce Hopkins, Trey Kaufman-Renn, and Aaron Nkrumah.
This opportunity allows these athletes to showcase their talents directly in front of league executives, scouts, and coaches ahead of the draft. Strong performances at the combine can significantly boost a player’s draft stock.
Rafael Castro, a 6-foot-11 center from George Washington, earned his spot after averaging 15.3 points on 62.7% shooting, along with 9.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game in his senior season. USC sophomore Jacob Cofie advanced with averages of 9.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game for the Trojans. Bryce Hopkins, who finished his collegiate career at St. John’s, posted 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game as a senior for the Red Storm.

The NBA Draft Combine, which is a key event in the pre-draft process, provides an additional platform for these players to impress decision-makers from across the league.
