On May 11, 2026, the National Disability Football Open concluded in Beijing after intense competition. The Jilin Deaf Women’s Football Team displayed exceptional performance and determination, ultimately defeating the defending champions from Sichuan 2-1 in the women’s hearing-impaired group final to claim the national title. 
The tournament brought together 23 high-level teams from across the country, making the competition fiercely contested. The Jilin team, composed of outstanding hearing-impaired students from Changchun University, advanced through the rounds with unwavering perseverance, solid football skills, and seamless teamwork. Head coach Zhang Tianyi was named Best Coach of the tournament, while captain Song Jiahui earned the Golden Boot as the top scorer.
This victory marks a significant achievement in Jilin province’s efforts to promote disability sports and integrate people with disabilities into society. It not only highlights the athletes’ spirit of striving for excellence but also boosts the overall level of disability sports in the region, inspiring more individuals with disabilities to participate in physical activities. 
Moving forward, the Jilin Disabled Persons’ Federation will continue to refine its talent development system, aiming to further elevate the province’s disability sports to new heights.
