The South Korean golfer tied for third place at the Mizuho Americas Open on Sunday (local time) at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey. She carded a final total of 8-under-par 280 to share third place.
Although she fell just short of securing her first LPGA victory, the result marked her best performance of the season and her third top-10 finish, after a tie for eighth at the Honda LPGA Thailand and a tie for fifth at the Blue Bay LPGA.
In the rankings, Nelly Korda (USA) remained No. 1, followed by Jeeno Thitikul (Thailand) at No. 2 and Kim Hyo-joo (South Korea) at No. 3. The rest of the top 10 included Yin Ruoning (China), Hannah Green (Australia), Charley Hull (England), Miyu Yamashita (Japan), Minjee Lee (Australia), Lydia Ko (New Zealand), and Lottie Woad (England).
Other South Koreans in the top 20 included Kim Se-young at No. 11 and Yoo Hae-ran at No. 12, alongside Kim Hyo-joo and Choi Hyejin.
